If you have Instagram then I can guarantee you’re probably already familiar with the term “throwback thursday”. If you don’t know what it means, well basically you post an old picture you like on thursdays….hmm yeah that’s it.
Anywayz I started thinking about my summer holidays coming up in August and then obviously (it happens every time) about how much I would liked to go back to Japan. So then I started looking through all the pictures from my trip there in 2010 and I can’t belive it’s already been 3 years! In 10 days I had so many beautiful and interesting experiences that it marked me for life.
As you know Tokyo is divided into different districts, theres the traditional area, the hi-tech, the fishmarket, the fashion district and not to talk about all the beautiful parks! Tokyo is GIGANTIC . So since it’s thursday today I wanted to make a throwback travel reportage with some “old” pictures that i truly like. There are a lot of photos so I’m going to divide this post in two parts and post the next one next thursday!

Tsukiji fish market
The Tokyo Metropolitan Central Wholesale Market, commonly known as the Tsukiji Market, is the biggest wholesale fish and seafoodmarket in the world and also one of the largest wholesale food markets of any kind. There is also a part of the market dedicated to small sushi restaurants where you can go and have breakfast. If you like sushi for breakfast that is.
Shinjuku & Shibuya
Shibuya is known as one of the fashion centers of Japan, particularly for young people, and as a major nightlife area while a part of Shinjuku has an area of tiny shanty-style bars and clubs. Musicians, artists, actors and directors gather here, and the ramshackle walls of the bars are literally plastered with film posters.
